We are happy to announce the hiring of Michael Boccarossa as the Assistant Coach of the Northern Westchester Outlaws American Showcase Team! Boccarossa (Port Chester, NY) is currently a senior at SUNY New Paltz and Captain. Mike will be pursuing his masters degree for the next two years at New Paltz while still playing and using his years of eligibility.  “We are super excited to have Bocca join the Outlaws coaching staff this summer. His leadership skills and knowledge of the game will be an immediate impact for our guys. The chemistry and bond between (Head Coach) Amoroso and Bocca was the right fit. They both played together for multiple years at New Paltz for me, Both Captains…it was a no brainer.” Said Director of Baseball Operations Brandon Rivera. “Having Bocca by my side again will be great to have. His knowledge and ability to lead will be a great fit for not only myself but for the players we are coaching this summer. His dedication and passion is unmatched to anyone I have played with. He’s a true competitor on and off the field and a brother of mine. Can’t wait to hit the field again with him but from a coaching perspective.” Said Head Coach Amoroso. 2021: Started 19 of 19 games... 56 at-bats and 17 hits for .304 batting average... had a slugging percentage of .375... scored six runs and had seven RBIs... tied for team lead in doubles with four... had five multi-hit games... reached base in seven straight games... defensively had 23 assists on 49 chances... earned a spot on the SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor-Roll.
